City Hall will host carfree-themed art exhibit

The flyer for the upcoming art exhibition.

Organizers of the 2008 Towards Carfree Cities conference that will be held in Portland this summer (6/16-6/20) have announced that they are accepting submissions for a carfree-themed art exhibition.

The event will open on Tuesday, June 17th and will be held at City Hall. All works of carfree themed art will be accepted and a committee has been formed to select the works to be shown.

Everyone is encouraged to submit postcards and other works to:

    Carfree Art Exhibit, c/o Shift
    PO Box 662
    Portland, OR 97228, USA

Organizers say the postcard motif is “meant to encourage submissions from around the world.”

If you would like to send anyone a postcard inviting them to submit a postcard- (or other!)- sized work of art, we have postcards available for you to mail to them — respond here, or to portland at worldcarfree dot net, and we will get some to you.
