- What:
- The City of Portland Office of Transportation, in coordination with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), is developing a conceptual streetscape plan for Inner Powell Blvd from the Ross Island Bridge to 92nd Avenue. The streetscape plan will identify improvements within the existing right-of-way that will continue to allow SE Powell Boulevard to serve vehicle traffic movement while also improving the safety, accessibility and the aesthetic environment for pedestrians, cyclists and transit riders. Please join us for an Open House to review project information and provide input. The information to be presented includes the following: * Background Policy and Existing Conditions * Comments received during the October Community Workshop and Neighborhood Walks * Toolbox of potential improvements that may be considered when streetscape planning * Project Needs, Opportunities and Constraints
- Where:
- Kellogg Middle School Cafeteria 3330 SE 69th Avenue (SE 69th Ave and Powell Blvd) TriMet bus line #9
- More Info:
- The Open House will be a "self-guided" tour with opportunities to provide input. Staff will be available to discuss the materials at stations. No formal presentation will be given. Adults and children are encouraged to converse with staff, write comments and draw on maps to be provided. Next Steps... Your input will help the City develop streetscape alternatives, evaluate them and select a preferred streetscape plan. Alternative Streetscape plans will be presented at a future Open House to receive community input. Then, the alternatives will be analyzed, evaluated and presented at a third Open House. A preferred plan will be selected and completed by July 2007.
