I woke up this morning (Sat. 5/20/06) and went out to the garage to find my Litespeed Vela GONE! Here the details of the bike:
2003 Litespeed Vela (Aluminum Frame, size Medium)
White with Blue lettering, 105 components
Serial number W1802051329
Last night I thought I heard my back gate slam at about 10pm. I looked out the kitchen window and didn’t see anything and assumed it was the wind. I live in Sellwood (SE). This morning when I went out to the garage, the door had been opened (the lock picked) and my bike was missing. I just switched to this bike being my everyday commuter as the weather has been more consistently nice, so its only been in the garage a couple weeks. Why couldn’t it have been my winter beater bike and not my nice 3 year old road bike that cost me a pretty penny.
Anyway, this is an uncommon bike for around here as it is one of the few aluminum Litespeed’s (not Ti like nost of ‘em). If you see a white Litespeed with Blue lettering, let me know!

Ned - does it have any distinguishing features such as a bag, pump, computer etc?

Yes. It had a Spesialized PRO computer (w/cadence), a cannondale seat bag (with tube, patch kit levers and multi-tool) and a preformance frame pump velcroed to the top tube. It also had Shimano Ultegra pedals. Why do you ask?

Also, It was purchased at River City (should have sticker down by the bottom bracket) and I have the original receipt. Call me at (503) 887-1367 if you have any information.
