BikePortland.org turns one!

Hard to believe it’s been a year since my first post.

740 posts later I want to say thanks to all of you for your support and feedback.

Because of your participation, this site has had a real impact on the bike scene. Here are just some of things we’ve accomplished in the past 12 months:

We’ve also managed to have a lot of fun! From Breakfast on the Bridges to bike moves and the Chunkathalon, I’ve throroughly enjoyed sharing our creative and whacky bike culture and spreading our infectious brand of bike fun far and wide.

Thanks again and here’s to another great year…

Grazie Jonathan for this great service.
I met you just before you started this and I remember telling you I was reading Bicycle Retailer news and you found that funny since I am not working in the industry, well you gave me something else to read and now it is local, so even better.
Thanks
Paolo

Congratulations Jonathan! And I echo the thanks for all the hard work and enthusiasm that you have put into the site. I find it simply remarkable that you can cover a puppet parade/bike move AND take on an ODOT bike ban all on the same page.

Maybe you should change your tag line to: “Kickin’ Ass Since 2005”

Keep up the great work.

Wow. Only a year? BikePortland has become such a staple in my life and the surrounding community that I don’t remember how we got along without it.
Thank you for giving the Portland bike scene an intelligent, cohesive voice. Here’s to a bright future!

Your work has become a transformational force in our city. I check the site daily and am continually impressed with the breadth and depth of the coverage, the balanced reporting, and the hard work that must be required to make BikePortland what it has become.

I also applaud you efforts to address the issue of bike theft, a topic near and dear to many who have lost their beloved steeds.

Aww shucks, you guys are making me blush…really though, thanks for the kind words. I’m glad that you all read the site and take time to participate and add your voice to the issues.

We’re just getting started and there are great things ahead…

Jonathan has single handedly changed my opinion about blogs. They aren’t just for self-indulgant whiners anymore! (I kid).

Grats on a year, and here’s to the next five.

Hurray for bikeportland! It’s only right that the Best Real City for Bikes has the best bike blog in the universe. Thanks for moving here, Jonathan, and for your tireless, enthusiastic, fun-loving voice and presence in the bike scene!

Thank you for an excellent year of leading our focus and chronicling our community during one of our most exciting years since the year date had an 18 in the front of it.
