Portland will be well represented at the 2nd annual North American Hand Made Bicycle Show. So far, four local frame builders will make the trip down to San Jose, California in March to display their creations alongside the best in the business.
Last year, Sacha White of Vanilla Bicycles took home two awards, one for "Best in Show" and other for "Best Fillet Brazed Frame".
Here are the four local builders attending so far:
- Joseph Ahearne (has a new shop under the St. Johns Bridge).
- Andy Newlands (based in SW hills).
- Tony Pereira (just moved to Portland from Utah).
- Sacha White (watch for interview in Outdoors NW).
Here is a complete list.
I would love to attend and get the scoop. I've already got a place to stay, I just need a plane ticket...anyone out there have any frequent flier miles they need to get rid of?

Andy Of Strawberry is on that list too. His name is on the website, and he is local.
RecommendedMaybe he wants to fix my old starwberry for me too?
